This Ralph's is awesome because it is insanely close to my apartment. As for its objective qualities however, it's always super clean and the deli ladies are very very nice.
Also, it has underground parking, unlike the one on University. Thank the powers that be too, because parking down in the Gaslamp is a nightmare. One of the coolest things I have ever seen is the escalator thingy/inclined moving sidewalk that takes you from the garage to the store. Totally cool. And don't worry if you need to get your shopping cart to your car--they have locking wheels on the carts once they are inclined enough, as well as an elevator.
They have a killer deli section too. The ladies behind the counter are really nice about giving you samples of the deli meat before you decide if you want to buy some, and the Boar's Head stuff always has one of the varieties on sale. YUMMY. And their sale prices are actually good.
Also, in drinking land, check out their wine aisle. I usually prefer Trader Joe's for such things but they actually have legit sales on stuff now and again.
This is the first place that comes in my mind when I plan to shop anything... virtually anything except the vegetables and fruits. This is a awesome and it is location also is very nice. One of the great advantage of this store is its location . DMV and this Walmart has the same parking lots so if you are getiing bore at DMV while waiting for your turn, go to this store and enjoy. This store has a Mcdonalds inside , so you can enjoy some good food as well. This is really awesome store and store keeper are so educated about their products that it really feels good to be at this store. I will rate this as number 1 store for my shoppinng, Thanks!
This is a very nice to do your BED, BATH and BEYOND shopping... really it has a very a good collection stuff for your bed room , for your bath room , for your kitchen and for everything at your home. I really find some cool stuff for my kitchen in this store. Sometimes they are little costly but most of the times they may have some offers and so it is not costly. Considering their good collection, they are never very costly. They are awesome while dealing. Also they are quite educated about the products in the store. I was hoping that they will start keeping gaming consoles also and then it will be really a big awesome store. Overall, a good shopping expereince.
Seriously. I freakin love this place. The food quality is amazing, and it's all delicious. You never walk out of there feeling like you ate like a freaking famished beast with a fat plate of raw food in front of you either. It's just right.
The atmosphere is perfect too--it's really versatile. They have more intimate booths in the back, a bar on your right when you walk in, and across from that, a bunch of table seating. They can also clear out the middle to make it more dance floor status as well, as I noticed they turn up the music a bit on weekends for the dance crowd.
The bar is stocked with legit tequila, and although not too experienced in Margaritaland, i hate sweet ones that feel like you are drinking corn syrup--these margaritas are wonderful.
And when you go, you need to get the Bananzas for dessert. Trust me, just do it.
The owner is really nice, and he is always out front to shake your hand, and even does so when I pass by and see him. They have the BEST happy hour in town too--and Sundays is happy hour all day. I take my siblings there for a sick meal when they visit for the weekends cuz you can go get so much great quality food in a relaxed, but pretty nice environment for a great price. I absolutely love this place.
If you are really looking for some awesome frozen yogurt with a lot of nuts - this is really the place to go. Wonderful place and delicious yogurt. Once you go there , you will go there very often. Your taste buds will really like this yogurt but in case you don't like yogurt at all then any way don't visit this place. This is a good place to be with friends and choose your flavor of yogurt, do mix and match, add you choice of nuts and sit and enjoy with your friends. I will be going there again and again!!! Ok so I haven't actually had one of these things yet, but they are ginormous. They are so fat that they put a rubber ducky in them when they serve them to you. I want one just so I can say I have had one.
And for tequila lovers, a whole page of their tall double columned menu is for tequila. They usually have pretty good drink specials, and actually have a decent pale ale on tap.
As for food, it's all good. I go for the burrito "wet style." They actually have multiple sauces to choose from for that. They are generally busy, sometimes crowded when parties are going--they reserve the back section for that--but a fun, chill atmosphere all the time.
The servers are chill, classic Hillcrest, and they are super fun, when events go on. One of them did a cartwheel down an aisle one time I was there. Pretty legit.
Yummy Yummy !!! This place is really yummy yummy!! We like this place a lot. I especially like the cakes and the ice creams. Although it is little costly than other place but it is is worth. Ice creams are superb!! Really taste very good! I make sure that I go there once in a while. Even the location of the Baskin Robbins is very good!. Once I do my grocerry stroe, we go to this place and enjoy some cool ice creams! I really recommend Baskin Robbins for birthdays and for anniversary cakes. They really make good cakes. And similarly, their ice creams are also the best.
Ahhh when I think about Phils barbecue I thin ummmm tasty food and good sides. When you park you will see A LONG LINE I mean a least 100 people. BUT it is worth it when you finally get inside you will see nice decor and the smell of nice BBQ. When you order your food you will see theres tons of choices from chicken to beef. The sides have main things to choose from fries coleslaw beans and more. It takes a little for the food to get there but in return they give you GREAT TASTE. So if you want some great BBQ come to Phils barbecue.
Ok so if you are craving frozen yogurt and are around Horton Plaza, go to the top level--the stairs up from the actual food court. There is also a location in Hillcrest.
It's a basic self-serve frozen yogurt place with the tart flavors too so if you're a Pinkberry fan, you're safe. They have a legit array of toppings too, including real fruit and not that syrupy crap.
It's awesome and horrible that it's walking distance from my place because this place has the most kickass flavors. Check out: cake batter--just do it; Red Velvet; and Something Coconut.
The service people are chill, it's normal pricing, and they are down with giving you a two sample yogurt shots when you ask. Hit it up!
This place is really awesome, and accommodates young couples, professionals, and a number of law students.
I live on the third level of four in my building, and there is an elevator which is great if you are carrying an insane amount of stuff like I normally am.
Also, the people here are really helpful, and the underground parking is something I'm always thankful for on Friday, and Saturday nights. The location can't be beat either--right in the Gaslamp but the entrances to the complex are on Island, Third, and Market, so not right in the way of people traffic.
I'm going to miss living here. Jimmy, who fixes everything is really helpful and nice, as is the old guy Gerry who beat the hell out of the soda vending machine for me to get it to work.
The Leucadian is one of my favorite bar spots in all of North County. It's pretty much the only bar in Leucadia so they don't have much competition, but even if they did, the Leucadian would probably still prevail.
It's kind of a small place, but they really make it work. It's basically about two big rooms and then the bar in the corner. They've got four pool tables and then a stage to the side.
Thursday nights are one of the best times to check this place out. They usually have some good reggae band playing, and their drinks are CHEAP! Cash only, though!
